Steel Drum Venues

We have had the pleasure of booking The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band and our steel drum players for weddings, rehearsal dinners and corporate functions at hundreds of the top resorts, restaurants and venues throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.  That’s a lot of driving!  Luckily we have the old faithful Cocobean Buggy (featured in the picture above).  People often ask “What is your favorite venue to perform at”?  So we asked our entertainers and the winners were:

Favorite Venue – Paradise Cove in Orlando – We probably book more weddings here than any other venue and it truly reminds us of back home in the islands.  There is a nice, laid back vibe and it is very accessible for the entertainers.  We are on their Preferred Vendors List for entertainment.

Runner upThe Tavern and Chapel in the Garden – located in Port Orange, FL.  It’s like something that came straight out of a story book. – Steel Drum Venues

Favorite Hotel – The Vero Beach Hotel & Spa – It is so beautiful and the staff is awesome!  We are also on their Preferred Vendors List for entertainment.  This is where Creig and Neisha celebrated their 10th Wedding Anniversary and renewed their wedding vows.  Please see the picture below.

Renewal-2

Runner upThe Sandpearl Resort – located in Clearwater Beach, FL.  This is another gorgeous hotel on one of the nicest beaches in Florida.

Some of the more popular venues that we book our Caribbean Entertainment are listed below.  We start in Orlando, then head north-west to Gainesville and then the panhandle.  After that we come back down south, along the entire west coast of Florida and straight down to the Keys.  We then head back north to Miami and continue north along the east coast of Florida, all the way up to Georgia and end up in South Carolina.

Our business is based out of Orlando, so it should be no surprise that this is where we book most of our shows.  Most of our corporate bookings take place here, as Orlando is one of the most popular destinations in North America for conventions, trade shows and other corporate gatherings.  Of course, the presence of Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and all the other theme parks make it a popular destination for weddings as well.  In the Orlando area , we have booked our steel drum band, steel drum players and Junkanoo Parade to perform for corporate functions and weddings at  Alaqua Country Club, The Ballroom at Church Street, Buena Vista Palace Resort & Spa, Caribe Royale, Celebration Golf Club, Courtyard at Lake Lucerne, Cypress Grove Park, Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, The Castle Hotel, Doubletree Hotel Universal Studios, DubsDread, The Florida Hotel, Gaylord Palms, The Grand Bohemian, Heathrow Country Club, Hilton Orlando Convention Center, Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, The Hilton at Walt Disney World, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport, International Plaza Resort and Spa, JW Marriott Orlando-Grande Lakes, Lake Mary Events Center, Longwood Community Building, Maison & Jardin, Marriott World Center Orlando, Mead Garden, Metro West Country Club, Mission Inn Resort and Country Club, Mystic Dunes, Omni Champions Gate, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando International Airport, Orlando Science Center, Paradise Cove (we are on their Preferred Vendors List), Peabody Hotel, Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios, Radisson Orlando Resort, Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World, Reunion Resort, Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Rosen Centre Hotel, Rosen Plaza Hotel, Rosen Shingle Creek, The Royal Crest Room, Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios, Royal Plaza Hotel, Tuscawilla Country Club, The Villas of Grand Cypress, The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, Winter Park Civic Center, Winter Park Farmer’s Market, Winter Park Racquet Club, Woman’s Club of Ocoee, Woman’s Club of Winter Park,  and Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort.

Not too far from Orlando is Clermont and Ocala.  Ocala is the horse capital of Florida, so we do lots of weddings and house parties either on horse farms, or very close to them.  From the reaction of the horses, it seems that they love the beautiful sound of the steel drum as much as the people do.

They say that gators love the sound of steel drum  music, so our steel drum players have also performed at the Gainesville Golf and Country Club and in the panhandle at Sunset Beach and St George Plantation.  Both of these are located on the beautiful St George Island.  Other cities in the Florida Panhandle that we do many beach weddings and corporate functions include: Panama City Beach, Pensacola and Destin.  The beaches up there are splendid!

In the Tampa area, The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band and our steel drum players have done corporate events and weddings at Davis Island Garden Club, Davis Island Yacht Club, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, The Resort and Club at Little Harbor, Saddlebrook Resort, Tampa Bay Watch, Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, Tampa Marriott Westshore, University Club and on board The Yacht Starship.

In the Clearwater, Sand Key, Treasure Island and Dunedin areas, you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida.  These are very popular destinations for weddings and rehearsal dinners.  That means lots of steel drum music!  Performances have taken place at The Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, Kapok Gardens, Sand Key Park, Sandpearl Resort, Sheraton Sand Key Resort, Bilmar Beach Resort and Bon Apetit.  The Sandpearl is one of the most beautiful hotels in this part of Florida.  Our guys love performing there.

If you are looking for a beach to rival those above, look no further than St Pete Beach.  Another very popular destination for weddings and rehearsal dinners, The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band can often be heard performing reggae and calypso music at Don CeSar Beach Resort (a St Pete landmark), Grand Plaza Hotel, Hilton St Petersburg Bayfront, Holiday Inn Sunspree, Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club, Postcard Inn, Sirata Beach Resort, St Pete Lion’s Club, St Pete Yacht Club, The Vinoy Renaissance and the very popular Tradewinds Resort.  The Tradewinds is a great hotel for families!

Not to be outdone is Anna Maria Island and Bradenton Beach.  Our steel drum players have performed at The BeachHouse Restaurant, The Sandbar Restaurant, Bradenton Yacht Club, Gulf Drive Café and Mattison’s Riverside.  They really love reggae music in this part of Florida.

Just south is Sarasota – the home of the newly-weds and nearly-deads.  Need we say more?  Lido Beach, Siesta Key and Longboat Key are world famous and our guys never get tired of performing Caribbean Steel Drum Music down here.  Places like The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort, The Founders Golf Club, Hyatt Regency Sarasota, Longboat Key Club & Resort, Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, Ritz-Carlton Beach Club, Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, Sarasota Outboard Club.  Creig’s dad has always loved Longboat Key and says that is where he wants to retire.  Of course, we need to convince him to leave Trinidad first.  Good luck with that!

As you heard further down south through Sanibel Island, Ft Myers, Bonita Springs and Naples, the events become more elaborate and quite upscale.  We have booked The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band for quite a few Dream Weddings and awesome corporate gatherings in this part of the state.  Venues include the Boca Grande Club, Gulf Harbor Yacht and Country Club, Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, La Playa Beach and Golf Resort (we are on their Preferred Vendors List), Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Marco Island Marriott (our guys perform here very often), Cypress Woods Country Club, Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club, Naples Grande Beach Resort, Naples Yacht Club, Pelican Bay, Ritz-Carlton (drop dead gorgeous) and even at Roy’s (the filet mignon here is the best we have ever had).

If you are more interested in having a great party than a fancy wedding, then the Florida Keys are the place for you.  We have never done a boring wedding in the Keys.  It’s always a full blown Caribbean Party.  However, we have still done our share of fancy weddings and rehearsal dinners in the Keys.  The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band has performed at Casa Marina Resort, Cheeca Lodge and Spa, Gilbert’s Resort, The Heritage House Museum, Hilton Key Largo Resort, Hyatt Key West Resort, Island Palm Estates, Ocean Key Resort and Spa, Pierre’s, Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Southern Division Estate.

Every performance in the Miami Beach/South Beach area is a memorable one.  The weddings guests and attendees at the corporate gatherings are so diverse and the people are beautiful.  They love the beats of calypso and soca music in South Florida.  The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band has performed at Eden Roc, The Fountainebleau, Loews Miami Beach Hotel, The Hilton Bentley, Miami Beach Resort and Spa, The National Hotel South Beach, The Palms Hotel South Beach, Ritz-Carlton South Beach, Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and the W South Beach.

Heading north, we come to the beautiful Ft Lauderdale area.  It’s a little less hectic than South Beach, but still a real party atmosphere.  Our steel drum players have performed at The Atlantic Hotel and Spa, Bahia Mar Resort, Bimini Boatyard Bar and Grill, Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach, Harbor Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Hilton Singer Island, Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, The Westin, The Westin Beach Resort and Spa and the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure.

Just north of Ft Lauderdale are the posh areas of Boca Raton, Palm Beach and West Palm Beach.  Like Naples, the events here are very upscale and usually on the formal side.  The guys in The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band get very dressed up when they perform here.  Places like The Addison, Boca Beach Club, Boca Raton Resort and Club, Congregation B’Nai Israel, Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel, Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, The Rustic Cellar, The Beach Club, The Breakers Resort, Four Season Resort, Heart of Palm Beach Hotel, Marriott Palm Beach Garden and the Embassy Suites of West Palm Beach.

Things get a little more relaxed as you head North to the Fort Pierce Yacht Club, Jupiter Civic Center, Marriott Hutchinson Island Beach Resort and Sugar Cane Island Bistro in Jupiter.

Then we come to one of our favorite places, the city of Vero Beach.  There is something about Vero Beach that is unique.  The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band and our steel drum players are very popular down here at places like Costa d’Este Beach Resort,Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, Vero Beach Hotel and Spa and The Windsor.  We are on the Preferred Vendors List at Vero Beach Hotel and Spa and The Caribbean Crew is usually the first band that they refer to their clients.  This resort is an absolute gem.  The Windsor is a private community and probably one of the most beautiful places we have ever performed at.  Whether it’s on the ocean side at the beach club or on the golf course by the clubhouse, the sites are amazing!

Again, things get more relaxed and crazy as you head to Sebastian, Melbourne and Cocoa Beach.  They really love the sounds of reggae music here and most weddings and even rehearsal dinners often turn into a full blown Caribbean dance party.  Places like Capt Hiram’s Resort, Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront, The Tides Collocated Club at Patrick AFB, Courtyard By Marriott Cocoa Beach, DoubleTree and the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront.

We now head to places like New Smyrna Beach, Port Orange, Daytona Beach Shores, Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach.  These beaches are less than an hour from Orlando and and The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band and our steel drum players perform reggae and calypso music down here quite often.  Venues include Clay Gallery and The Tavern and Chapel in the Garden in Port Orange.  This is a wonderful venue and looks like it came straight out of a children’s story book.  We love booking shows at this venue as it truly brings out the inner kid in everyone.  Other venues include The Shores Resort and Spa, Daytona Speedway, Daytona Beach Chart House, Daytona Beach Resort, El Caribe Resort and Conference Center, LaPlaya Resort and Suites, River Lily Inn Bed & Breakfast, Hilton Daytona Beach Resort, Sunset Harbor Yacht Club, Coral Sands Resort and Ormond Ocean House.  The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach Shores is another favorite of ours.  It’s less than 1 hour from the office and a beautiful hotel.  Many of our steel drum players vacation here on their days off.  We are also on their Preferred Vendors List.

North of Ormond Beach is Palm Coast.  All by itself on the beach is a true gem.  It’s the Hammock Beach Resort.  This is another beautiful resort that is a very popular choice for weddings and rehearsal dinners.  Our steel drum players perform here very often and we are on their Preferred Vendors List.

St Augustine is one of the most romantic cities in Florida and this is reflected in the weddings.  Most of the guys in The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band will take their wives with them (not to the gig of course) and stay at a Bed & Breakfast after the wedding or rehearsal dinner.  There is so much history in St Augustine and our guys love performing at Anastasia State Park, Camachee Cove Marina, Casa Monica Hotel, The Finch House , House of Sea and Sun, Lightner Museum, Marineland, The Reef Restaurant, River House, The Saint Augustine Boating Club, World Golf Village Country Club and The White Room.

If you love golf, then Ponte Vedra Beach is the place for you.  Golf and steel drum music has proven to be a great combination, based on the number of weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate functions and other special events we do up there.  Places like Sawgrass Country Club and Beach Club, Sawgrass Marriott and the Serenata Beach Club.

Jacksonville is the largest city in the United States and The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band, our steel drum players, Junkanoo Parade and Moko Jumbie all perform in Jacksonville and Atlantic Beach very often.  Venues include the Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Riverfront, Epping Forest Yacht Club, Everbank Field Stadium, Florida Yacht Club, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfornt, Jacksonville International Airport, One Ocean Resort and the Sheraton Jacksonville Hotel.  One Ocean Resort and Spa in Atlantic Beach is a beautiful property with lots of great restaurants and night life across the street.

Another of our favorite parts of Florida is Amelia Island.  A vacation on the Amelia Island Plantation is one that you and your family will always remember.  It is also a very popular golf destination.  Combined with the tranquility, beauty and history, it makes Amelia Island hard to beat.  We have booked The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band and our steel drum players for just as many corporate functions as weddings on Amelia Island.  They have all performed at Amelia Island Golf Club, Amelia Island Plantation, Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort and the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

Crossing over into Georgia, we come to Jekyll Island and St Simons Island.  You don’t really think of Caribbean Music when mention Georgia, but The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band can often be heard performing steel drum and calypso music at Beachview Club Hotel, Jekyll Island Convention Center, The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort and the St Simons Island Casino.

We then head to Savannah, the oldest city in Georgia.   This city is breathtaking!  It is very popular for destination weddings and our steel drum players love performing here.  We have booked them and The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band at the Marriott Riverfront, Tybee Island Lighthouse, Wesley Gardens and even on board the Savannah River Queen.

Our final stop is Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.  This is another popular area for destination weddings and rehearsal dinners.  The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum band also performs up here quite often for corporate functions.  It’s probably due to the great golf courses on the island.  And as we said earlier, golf and steel drum music seem to be a winning combination.  We have mostly booked our Caribbean Entertainers to perform at the Oceanfront Resort Hilton and The Westin Resort.

These are just some of the more popular venues that our entertainers have performed at.  We cannot forget the beautiful homes that we have performed at throughout the Southeast United Stated for birthday parties, graduations, anniversaries and other special occasions.  We are truly honored that people welcome The Caribbean Crew Steel Drum Band, our steel drum players, Junkanoo Parade and Moko Jumbie into their homes on a weekly basis.  They turn to us to help make their celebration a truly memorable experience and this is why we love what we do.  We look forward to doing the same thing for you.
